Sustainability - Leadership - Autonomy - Structuring
PLAS PROJECT (Sustainability - Leadership - Autonomy - Structuring) community-based HIV organisations by strengthening their leaders to play a major role in civil society. This project is being implemented in partnership with Coalition Plus to consolidate, enhance and sustain the work of mediators and peer educators.
Background presented to AFD
If community players in the fight against HIV are to play a central role in national responses to HIV, their level of structuring needs to be increased (...) The structural and temporal solidity of organisations in the South is a key factor in their ability to become and remain leaders at national and regional level. The Covid 19 epidemic has further highlighted their role in communities.
