GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE MUTUAL HEALTH OF THE NATIONAL ALLIANCE OF HEALTH COMMUNITIES (MSANCS)

1. Who are we?

The ANCS health mutual is being set up as part of the national Universal Health Coverage programme, which was launched in 2013 by the Senegalese government with the aim of improving affordability and equity of access to healthcare for all Senegalese. Its aim is to provide medical care for ANCS targets, including people affected by HIV and their families, NGO workers in particular and the community in general.

2. How can I benefit from MSANCS services?

Beneficiaries of health care benefits offered by the mutual insurance company are subject to the following conditions:  

  • Type of membership : Membership is family, grouped and individual, and the membership fee is payable only once on enrolment;
    • Family or individual membership : membership fees are set at 1 000 FCFA.
    • Group membership :
      • Between 50 and 149 associate members, membership fees are set at 500 F CFA per member;
      • Between 150 et 499 associate members, membership fees are set at 250 F CFA per member;
      • From 500 members, a lump sum of 100 000 F CFA is requested.
    • Contribution formula:
    • Guaranteed minimum care package (mandatory):

The membership fee is 7000 FCFAIt is individual, and each beneficiary must pay his or her contributions in advance in order to receive health care benefits.

The membership fee is annual (12 months) with half-yearly payments.

  • Specific package (optional):

The membership fee is 15 000 FCFAIt is individual, and each beneficiary must pay his or her contributions in advance in order to benefit from the healthcare services guaranteed by this package.

  • Observation period:

It is for one (1) month if the subscription is annual and (2) months if it is semi-annual.

3. List of documents to be supplied

  • The member must provide :

-A photocopy of your identity card ;

-Two (2) passport photos.

  • The beneficiary must provide :

-A photocopy of the NIC and two (2) passport photos for each spouse;

-A birth certificate and two passport photos for each child under 18.
