C19RM project
The COVID-19 pandemic, which is spreading rapidly across the world, threatens to disrupt programmes to combat HIV, tuberculosis and malaria, overwhelm health and community systems and result in high morbidity and mortality rates. In order to mitigate the impact of the pandemic on the three diseases and to support health and community systems in Senegal, the Global Fund has approved additional funding for the fight against the pandemic as part of its response to COVID-19.
The Instance de Coordination Nationale des subventions du Fonds mondial de lutte contre le SIDA, la Tuberculose et le Paludisme (hereinafter referred to as the ‘CCM’) of the Republic of Senegal applied for and obtained additional funding from the Global Fund for the COVID 19 response mechanism (the ‘Programme’), under the New Funding Model 3 (NMF3).
