As Executive Director of the National Alliance of Communities for Health (ANCS), I am pleased to welcome all our visitors to our website www.ancs.sn<\/a>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Dear Internet users, you have certainly heard of the ANCS or read about this civil society organisation created on 28 July 1994 by NGOs, CBOs and other community associations, including people living with HIV and their families and highly vulnerable groups. The ANCS was set up, dear Internet users, to ensure the participation and contribution of civil society and the community sector in the national effort to respond to HIV in Senegal.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Today, with its website, a platform that constitutes its first showcase, the ANCS is equipping itself with a means that will enable it to highlight its contribution to the health and well-being of populations. Over the last 30 years, the ANCS has built up a vast and solid experience in many areas, including the fight against HIV, the involvement and promotion of community participation in the response to HIV, TB\/HIV co-infection, the inclusion of gender issues in the fight against HIV, the promotion of human rights and community health, support and capacity-building for CSOs and community players, advocacy and the promotion of a favourable environment, good governance and leadership, among others.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

With the support of ANCS, community organisations have implemented strategic interventions targeting the most vulnerable, marginalised and hard-to-reach populations. This proactive approach has enabled ANCS and its partners to make a significant contribution to the results of the National AIDS Control Programme, marking tangible progress in the fight against this pandemic in Senegal.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I would like to take this opportunity to express my deep gratitude to all those involved in the response, in particular the Ministry of Health and Social Action (MSAS), the National AIDS Council (CNLS), the ANCS Board of Directors, community organisations and technical and financial partners, who continue to support us in implementing our programmes. Their commitment and collaboration are essential to the success of our public health initiatives.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
