From 25 November to 1 December 2024, the National Alliance of Communities for Health (ANCS), in partnership with Coalition Plus and the Global Fund, carried out a screening and awareness-raising mission in the Ziguinchor and Fatick regions. Every year, Coalition Plus and its partner organisations organise International Screening Week (ISS). The aim of the Week's communication campaign is to raise the profile and relevance of the community-based approach across the entire continuum of care, from prevention to screening, treatment initiation, retention in care and biological and psychosocial follow-up.

The aim of SID is to improve access to early screening for HIV/AIDS, STIs and viral hepatitis for key and vulnerable populations worldwide.

The aim was to help improve the screening system, in a context marked by a general fall in HIV screening rates worldwide due to the post-Covid-19 period and crisis situations.

The week was marked by awareness-raising activities and screening for HIV, STIs, viral hepatitis and any other pathologies determined by the members and partners according to strategic issues.
