The 4th edition of the Scientific Days on AIDS in Senegal was held from 26 to 28 November 2024 at the CICAD in Diamniadio. The event brought together 500 experts, researchers, young talents and partners to exchange and share best practice in the fight against AIDS in Senegal.

The opening ceremony was marked by a visit to the stands by the Minister of Health and Social Action (MSAS), accompanied by a large delegation of Senegalese health professionals.

On Wednesday 27 November 2024, the second day of the Scientific Days on AIDS in Senegal was devoted to plenary sessions led by health experts. The ANCS had the honour, with a strong representation of its members, of sharing its best practices, experiences, challenges and strategic orientations in the response to HIV.

They are the Executive Director, Ms Magatte MBODJ, the Programme Manager, Mr Mame Mor FALL and the Project Manager, Mr Ousseynou BADIO.

The closing ceremony provided an opportunity to report on the recommendations from the plenary and group sessions. The Executive Secretary of the Conseil Nationale de Lutte contre le Sida (CNLS), Dr Safiétou THIAM, also delivered strong messages to all those involved in the response to HIV in Senegal, urging them to stay the course to eliminate AIDS by 2030.
